(Professional Biography)
Travis
Wright Runnels is a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) with over 1000 hours of
expertise training. He has experience in providing a variety of different
massage modalities for various clients including Olympic and professional
athletes for enhancing performance and injury recovery, to advanced spa
treatments at the Four Seasons Hotel for corporate professionals and top
executives in Silicon Valley.
His
experience as an Army Master Fitness Trainer for competitive Army athletes, and
as a member of the First Infantry Running Team, has given him unique insight
into the body of disciplined athletes. Using this knowledge, he has been the
team massage therapist for professional soccer teams during training and off
season, and other professional athletes including football and soccer players,
cyclists, runners, ballet dancers, and equestrian riders.
Travis’
deep understanding of injuries and postural distortions allows him to offer
specialized treatment plans to move past limitations and return to normal
function. He provides an integrative massage experience using multiple
modalities that focus expressly on the client’s wants and physical needs
whether it’s relaxation or assistance with troubled areas. He is
experienced in offering these services on-site at corporate office locations or
in the comfort of the client’s own home.
Travis
is federally certified and holds the highest certification available in
California, as a state Certified Massage Therapist. Travis’s has extensive
training in Swedish, Deep Tissue (MFR), Sports, Lomi Lomi, Reflexology, Thai,
Lymphatic Drainage, Cranial Sacral, Advanced Injury Treatment, Structural
integration, and Pre-Natal massage. He holds a Professional Massage Diploma
from Cortiva Institute where he received training from advanced massage
therapists from the Seattle: Seahawks football, Sonics basketball, Storm
basketball, Sounders Soccer, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. He
also has an advanced Cadaver certification from Bastyr University providing him
in-depth understanding of anatomy for injury treatment.
Travis
often lends his time and experience to volunteer opportunities working with the
Seattle University Men’s Soccer team, local radio stations, community
fundraisers and athletic events. He also holds current CPR and First Aid
certifications and serves as a volunteer for Outward Bound.
